Chennai, Nov 1 (PTI) Madras High Court today directed Tamil Nadu Government to take action against the Tiruvarur Collector for not complying with its earlier order on filling up vacancies of noon meal organisers in the district and file a report within two weeks. Justice D Hariparanthaman also directed the Secretary, Social Welfare (Non Meal Scheme) department, to take necessary action for filling up of the vacancies in Muthupettai Block of the district. He said that the matter was listed more than once occasion, but the District Collector had chosen not to comply with the order. "I am constrained to issue a direction .. to take action against the District Collector, Tiruvarur district for not complying with the direction issued by this court," the judge said. On a petition seeking regularisation of the service of the petitioner as an Anganvadi Assistant, the high court had in August last issued a direction to the Collector to file a report regarding the filling up of the posts.
